“STARTING WITH A CLEAN SLATE”
SCRIPTURE
READING:
PHILIPPIANS 3:7-14
SCRIPTURE TEXT: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
What this means is that those who become
Christians become new persons. They are not the same
anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has
begun!
INTRO:
Are you content with the way things are going in
your life?
We all should have a HOLY UNSATISFACTION as
far as our spiritual life is concerned.
Philippians 3:12 (NLT)
I don't mean to say that I have already achieved
these things or that I have already reached
perfection! But I keep working toward that day when
I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for
and wants me to be.
What are some of the changes you would like to make
in your life and do you have any new goals you would
like to meet?
One of the wonderful things about the New Year is
that it gives us an opportunity to make changes in
our lives and to set new goals.
There are two important things about starting with a
clean slate; we must first wipe the slate clean and
then be very careful of what we put on the clean
slate.
I.
WIPING THE SLATE CLEAN.
NOTE:
We must be willing to make some changes in our lives
if we are to write on a clean slate
Matthew 9:17 (NLT)
And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. The old
skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the
wine and ruining the skins. New wine must be stored
in new wineskins. That way both the wine and the
wineskins are preserved."
Before we can write on a clean slate we must remove
what is already written.
A. THINGS THAT NEED TO BE REMOVED.
Hebrews 12:1 (NLT)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge
crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us
strip off every weight that slows us down,
especially the sin that so easily hinders our
progress. And let us run with endurance the race
that God has set before us.
Job 11:14 (NLT)
Get rid of your sins and leave all iniquity
behind you.
Isaiah 55:7 (NLT)
Let the people turn from their wicked deeds. Let
them banish from their minds the very thought of
doing wrong! Let them turn to the Lord that he may
have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he
will abundantly pardon.
Psalm 139:23-24 (NLT)
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and
know my thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
Proverbs 28:13 (NLT)
People who cover over their sins will not
prosper. But if they confess and forsake them, they
will receive mercy.
Isaiah 1:18 (NLT)
"Come now, let us argue this out," says the Lord.
"No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can
remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen
snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I
can make you as white as wool.
1 John 1:9 (NLT)
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful
and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every
wrong.
NOTE:
There may be things that we do not consider as sin,
but they keep us from serving God and we ought.
I
wish to consider only two of the many things that
will hinder us from reach our full potential in
Christ.
NOTE:
Bitterness comes in to our live when things happen
that we consider unfair.
Hebrews 12:15 (NLT)
Look after each other so that none of you will miss
out on the special favor of God. Watch out that no
bitter root of unbelief rises up among you, for
whenever it springs up, many are corrupted by its
poison.
Ephesians 4:31 (NLT)
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh
words, and slander, as well as all types of
malicious behavior.
James 3:14 (NLT)
But if you are bitterly jealous and there is
selfish ambition in your hearts, don't brag about
being wise. That is the worst kind of lie.
NOTE:
The spirit of un-forgiveness is like a dam that
holds back God’s forgiveness and blessings in our
lives.
Matthew 6:15 (NLT)
But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father
will not forgive your sins.
NOTE:
Those who refuse to forgive will be un-forgiven.
The believer who prays for forgiveness and holds
feelings against another person is hypocritical. He
is asking God to do something he himself is
unwilling to do. He is asking God to forgive his
trespasses when he himself is unwilling to forgive
the trespasses of others.
II. WRITING ON A CLEAN SLATE.
NOTE:
There are many things we need to write on our clean
slate I am only going to mention one.
A. LOVE
NOTE:
The key to living a productive Christian life is
LOVE.
Matthew 22:37-40 (NLT)
Jesus replied, " 'You must love the Lord your God
with all your heart, all your soul, and all your
mind.'
This is the first and greatest commandment.
A second is equally important: 'Love your
neighbor as yourself.'
All the other commandments and all the
demands of the prophets are based on these two
commandments."
Colossians 3:14 (NLT)
And the most important piece of clothing you must
wear is love. Love is what binds us all together in
perfect harmony.
NOTE:
Our ability to love on another is dependent on the
amount of love we have for God.
The more we love God, the more we will love others.
1 John 4:15-21 (NLT)
All who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God have
God living in them, and they live in God.
We know how much God loves us, and we have
put our trust in him.
God is love, and all who live in love live in
God, and God lives in them.
And as we live in God, our love grows more
perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of
judgment, but we can face him with confidence
because we are like Christ here in this world.
Such love has no fear because perfect love
expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of
judgment, and this shows that his love has not been
perfected in us.
We love each other as a result of his loving
us first.
If someone says, "I love God," but hates a
Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar;
for if we don't love people we can see, how can we
love God, whom we have not seen?
And God himself has commanded that we must
love not only him but our Christian brothers and
sisters, too.
CONCLUSION:
Let us wipe our slate clean of sin, bitterness and
un-forgiveness and fill our clean slate with love.

“HAVING PASSION AND COMPASSION”
SCRIPTURE
READING:
PSALM 42:1-11
SCRIPTURE TEXT: Psalm 42:1 (NLT) As the
deer pants for streams of water, so I long for you,
O God.
INTRO:
Our passion is what drives us.
Many have achieved great success by the passion that
drove them.
-
Thomas Edison
-
Henry Ford
-
The Wright brothers
-
Bill Gates
-
The Apostle Paul
Many have been destroyed and have destroyed others
by the passion that drove them.
-
Napoleon
-
Hitler
-
Drugs
-
Alcohol
-
Pornography
Whether we want to admit it or not, we are all drive
by our passion.
What is the passion that drives you?
I. HAVING THE RIGHT PASSION.
Psalm 42:1 (NLT)
As the deer pants for streams of water, so I long
for you, O God.
The author most likely was David when he was fleeing
from Absalom.
A. THE THINGS HE WAS NOT LONGER FOR
B. HE WAS LONGING TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD.
It was not that he didn’t long for these things, but
rather his greatest longing was to be once again in
the presence of God.
NOTE:
David longed more than anything else to be able to
worship God in the Tabernacle.
Psalm 42:2 (KJV)
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when
shall I come and appear before God?
Psalm 63:1-11 (KJV)
A Psalm of David,
when he was in the wilderness of
Judah.
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek
Thee: my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth
for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water
is; to see Thy power and Thy glory, so as I have
seen Thee in the sanctuary. Because Thy
lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall
praise Thee. Thus will I bless Thee while I live: I
will lift up my hands in Thy name.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and
fatness; and my mouth shall praise Thee with joyful
lips: when I remember Thee upon my bed, and meditate
on Thee in the night watches.
Because Thou hast been my help, therefore in
the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice.
My soul followeth hard after thee: Thy right
hand upholdeth me.
But those that seek my soul, to destroy it,
shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a
portion for foxes.
But the king shall rejoice in God; every one
that sweareth by Him shall glory: but the mouth of
them that speak lies shall be stopped.
Psalm 143:6 (KJV)
I stretch forth my hands unto Thee: my soul
thirsteth after Thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
C. HOW IMPORTANT IS GOD TO YOU AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP
TO HIM?
Mark 12:30 (KJV)
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength: this is the first
commandment.
Our driving passion must be to know God and to
become more like Him.
Philippians 3:7-10 (NLT)
I once thought all these things were so very
important, but now I consider them worthless because
of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is
worthless when compared with the priceless gain of
knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded
everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that
I may have Christ and become one with Him. I no
longer count on my own goodness or my ability to
obey God's law, but I trust Christ to save me. For
God's way of making us right with Himself depends on
faith.
As a result, I can really know Christ and experience
the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I
can learn what it means to suffer with him, sharing
in his death,
II. HAVING GODLY COMPASSION.
NOTE:
If our driving passion is to be like Jesus than we
will possess the same compassion as He had.
A.
GOD’S DRIVING COMPASSION IS TO BRING FALLEN MAN BACK
INTO FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM.
John 3:16 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life.
B.
JESUS’ WHOLE PURPOSE FOR COMING TO EARTH WAS TO
REDEEM FALLEN MAN.
Luke 19:10 (NLT)
And I, the Son of Man, have come to seek and save
those like him who are lost."
C.
BECAUSE OF HIS DRIVING COMPASSION, HE SENT MESSAGERS
TO TELL THEM OF HIS LOVE AND WARN THEM OF HIS
JUDGMENTS.
2 Chronicles 36:15 (NLT)
The Lord, the God of their ancestors, repeatedly
sent his prophets to warn them, for he had
compassion on his people and his Temple.
D.
BECAUSE OF HIS COMPASSION, HE WAITS PATIENTLY FOR
MAN TO COME TO HIM.
Isaiah 30:18 (NLT)
But the Lord still waits for you to come to him so
he can show you his love and compassion. For the
Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait
for him to help them.
Luke 15:20 (NLT)
"So he returned home to his father. And while he was
still a long distance away, his father saw him
coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to
his son, embraced him, and kissed him.
E.
HE HAD COMPASSION ON THOSE WHO ARE HURTING.
Luke 7:13 (NLT)
When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with
compassion. "Don't cry!" he said.
F.
HIS COMPASSION PUT HIM INTO ACTION.
Matthew 14:14-20 (NLT)
A vast crowd was there as he stepped from the boat,
and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
That evening the disciples came to him and said,
"This is a desolate place, and it is getting late.
Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages
and buy food for themselves." But Jesus replied,
"That isn't necessary—you feed them."
"Impossible!" they exclaimed. "We have only
five loaves of bread and two fish!"
"Bring them here," he said.
Then he told the people to sit down on the
grass. And he took the five loaves and two fish,
looked up toward heaven, and asked God's blessing on
the food. Breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave
some of the bread and fish to each disciple, and the
disciples gave them to the people.
They all ate as much as they wanted, and they
picked up twelve baskets of leftovers.
CONCLUSION:
Let us have a passion for God and compassion for
others.

“RIVERS OF DELIGHT”
SCRIPTURE
READING:
Isaiah 35:1-10
SCRIPTURE TEXT: Psalm 36:8 (NLT) You feed
them from the abundance of your own house, letting
them drink from your rivers of delight.
INTRO:
What come to your mind when you think of a
wilderness or desert place?
In the wilderness there are wild beasts that will
attack and destroy.
It is easy to become lost in the wilderness.
In the desert there are snakes and scorpions that
will bite and bring death.
In the desert there is intense heat, very cold
nights, and a lack of water.
We are living in a wilderness and desert place.
All around us are the beasts of temptation and sin
that seeks to destroy us.
We are often confused as to which direction we
should take.
The intense heat of peer pressure to live an ungodly
life is smothering us.
The
snake and scorpions of the desert are seeking to
fill us with their poison.
God has promised us that he will turn the wilderness
into a safe place, and the desert will become a
Garden of Eden.
This happens when we allow God’s river to water the
wilderness and desert of our life.
Psalm 46:4 (KJV)
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make
glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the
most High.
NOTE:
I wish to share three rivers of delight that God has
provided for us.
I. THE
RIVER OF SALVATION
Isaiah 12:3 (NLT)
With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of
salvation!
NOTE:
The first river we must drink from is the
River
of Salvation.
John 6:54-56 (KJV)
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath
eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last
day. For
my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink
indeed.
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood,
dwelleth in me, and I in him.
This does not mean we do this literally, but rather
we believe that Jesus is the Son of Man and the Son
of God and that His death, burial and resurrection
give to us eternal life.
There are those who seek a bloodless religion but
without Christ’s blood there is no salvation.
Hebrews 9:22 (NLT)
In fact, we can say that according to the law of
Moses, nearly everything was purified by sprinkling
with blood. Without the shedding of blood, there is
no forgiveness of sins.
Exodus 12:13 (KJV)
And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the
houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I
will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon
you to destroy you, when I smite the
land
of Egypt.
It is through the washing of the blood of Jesus
Christ that we are cleansed from sin.
1 John 1:7 (NLT)
But if we are living in the light of God's presence,
just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each
other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us
from every sin.
II. THE RIVER OF COMPLETE SATISFACTION.
John 4:13-14 (KJV)
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh
of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever
drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall
never thirst; but the water that I shall give him
shall be in him a well of water springing up into
everlasting life.
NOTE:
The pleasures of this world will only satisfy for a
moment.
Hebrews 11:24-26 (NLT)
It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused
to be treated as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. He
chose to share the oppression of God's people
instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin.
He thought it was better to suffer for the
sake of the Messiah than to own the treasures of
Egypt, for he was
looking ahead to the great reward that God would
give him.
Putting our trust in the pleasures of this world
will only fail us in the end.
Matthew 16:26 (NLT)
And how do you benefit if you gain the whole
world but lose your own soul in the process? Is
anything worth more than your soul?
The drinking from God’s river of delight will
satisfy us continually.
Isaiah 58:11 (NLT)
The Lord will guide you continually, watering your
life when you are dry and keeping you healthy, too.
You will be like a well-watered garden, like an
ever-flowing spring.
III. THE
RIVER OF PEACE
Isaiah 48:18 (NLT)
Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then
you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river
and righteousness rolling like waves.
NOTE:
God’s river of peace provides us with two different
kinds of peace.
Before we drank from the River of Salvation
we were alienated from God were the enemies of God.
Colossians 1:21 (KJV)
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in
your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he
reconciled:
Philippians 4:7 (NLT)
If you do this, you will experience God's peace,
which is far more wonderful than the human mind can
understand. His peace will guard your hearts and
minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 119:165 (NLT)
Those who love your law have great peace and do
not stumble.
Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in
you, whose thoughts are fixed on you!
John 14:27 (NLT)
"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and
heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the
world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid.
John 16:33 (NLT)
I have told you all this so that you may have
peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials
and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome
the world."
CONCLUSION:
God invites us to come and drink from His Rivers of
Delight.
Revelation 22:17 (NLT)
The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let each one
who hears them say, "Come." Let the thirsty ones
come—anyone who wants to. Let them come and drink
the water of life without charge.

“ARE YOU READY FOR WAR?”
SCRIPTURE
READING:
EPHESIANS
6:10-18
SCRIPTURE TEXT:
1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV)
Fight the good fight of faith,
lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also
called, and hast professed a good profession before
many witnesses.
INTRO:
War is not fun
I believe that nobody in their right mind really
wants war.
There comes a time when war is necessary.
When on group seeks to overcome anther group (WW II)
we must seek to defeat the enemy or be overtake by
them.
1. WE ARE AT WAR.
When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we have enlisted
in God’s army and in His war against Satan and sin.
We either join God in this war or we will be
overtaken by Satan and sin.
Ephesians 6:10-12 (KJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in
the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye
may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high
places.
NOTE:
The true Believer’s life is a battlefield.
Once we have accepted Christ as our Savior we are in
a war against the enemy of God, Satan.
NOTE:
The war we are in is a spiritual war not a physical
war.
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high
places.
There are two things we must do if we are to defeat
the enemy.
1.
We must be strong in the Lord.
Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in
the power of his might.
Because the enemy is a spiritual enemy we must face
him on a spiritual plain.
·
We must be strong
o
In our commitment to God.
We must be fully committed to God.
James 1:5-8 (KJV)
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all
men
liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given
him.
But
let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that
wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the
wind and tossed.
For
let not that man think that he shall receive any
thing of the Lord.
A
double minded man
is
unstable in all his ways.
2 Timothy 2:4 (KJV)
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the
affairs of
this life; that he may please him who hath
chosen him to be a soldier.
Luke 9:62 (KJV)
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand
to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not
unto thine own understanding.
In
all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct
thy paths.
James 4:7 (KJV)
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the
devil, and he will flee from you.
o
In the face of difficulties
Often times in physical combat sacrifices have to be
made for the good of the war.
Sometimes God will allow us to suffer that we might
be victorious in the end.
Job 23:8-10 (KJV)
Behold, I go forward, but he
is
not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
On
the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot
behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see
him:
But he knoweth the way that I take:
when
he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Job 13:15a (KJV)
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him…
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (KJV)
And
lest I should be exalted above measure through the
abundance of the revelations, there was given to me
a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to
buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it
might depart from me.
And
he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:
for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most
gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon
me.
Therefore
I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for
Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
We are unable to be strong in our own strength; our
strength must come from the Lord.
2.
We must fight the enemy in the power of God’s might.
Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in
the power of his might.
NOTE:
We cannot fight this warfare with physical weapons.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (KJV)
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after
the flesh:
(For
the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,
but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong
holds;)
Zechariah 4:6 (KJV)
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This
is
the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by
might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the
LORD of hosts.
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy
Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth.
·
We must allow God to lead us in our battles with
Satan.
NOTE:
Like David facing Goliath, we are facing something
much bigger and stronger than us and we must trust
in God’s strength.
1 Samuel 17:46-47 (KJV)
This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand;
and I will smite thee, and take thine head from
thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of
the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air,
and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the
earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
And
all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth
not with sword and spear: for the battle
is
the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands.
We need not fear when we turn our battle over to
God.
2 Chronicles 20:15 (KJV)
And
he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants
of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith
the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by
reason of this great multitude; for the battle
is
not yours, but God's.
CONCLUSION:
We must realize that we are at war, and will face
many hardships and trials, but we do not need to
fear, God will give us the victory.
Exodus 14:14 (NIV)
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be
still."

“ARE YOU DRESSED FOR WAR?”
SCRIPTURE
READING:
Ephesians 6:10-18
SCRIPTURE TEXT: Ephesians 6:11 (NLT)
Put on all of God's armor so that you will be
able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks
of the Devil.
INTRO:
One of the very first things they do when you join
the Army is to issue you your uniform and weapon.
ILL:
The Army that was too poor.
When we enlist in God’s Army, by way of Salvation,
God issues us our uniform and weapon.
Because our war is a spiritual war, the uniform and
weapon God give us is different from those of
physical armies.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NIV)
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of
the world. On the contrary, they have divine power
to demolish strongholds.
We demolish arguments and every pretension
that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,
and we take captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ.
NOTE:
The enemy we are fighting is the enemy of our soul
and his host of demons and fallen angels.
Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
For we are not fighting against people made of
flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and
authorities of the unseen world, against those
mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and
against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.
We cannot face the enemy with a half-hearted
attitude.
Ephesians 6:13 (NLT)
Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy
in the time of evil, so that after the battle you
will still be standing firm.
NOTE:
Every part of the Christian’s uniform is very
important he can not hope to defeat the enemy if he
goes out only partly dressed.
I. THE UNIFORM.
NOTE:
God has provided us with five pieces of uniform and
one weapon, plus a great support system.
Paul was in prison guarded by Roman soldiers so he
got a good look at their uniforms.
A.
THE BELT OF TRUTH.
Ephesians 6:14a (NLT)
Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of
truth and the body armor of God's righteousness.
NOTE:
The Belt of Truth is listed first so it must be very
important.
God desires that are inner man is girt about with
Truth.
Psalm 51:6 (KJV)
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts:
and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know
wisdom.
The soldier’s belt provided several important
services to the soldier.
·
The Belt of Truth covers the loins.
Do we desire truth?
NOTE:
Strong’s definition for loins refers to procreative
power.
Does our life produce truth?
·
It holds the clothing close to the body and keeps
them from flapping providing him the ability to move
about in close places.
2 Timothy 2:4 (KJV)
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the
affairs of this life; that he may please him who
hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Many people have suffered hurt and even death
because of their clothing getting caught.
Many Believers have allowed themselves to become
entangled with the things of this world.
2 Timothy 4:10a (NLT)
Demas has deserted me because he loves the things of
this life and has gone to Thessalonica…
·
It provided strength and support to the soldier.
NOTE:
There are several aspects to the Christian’s Belt of
Truth.
