“A
SOLDIER FOR CHRIST”
SCRIPTURE
READING: II TIMOTHY 4:1-8
SCRIPTURE TEXT: 2 Timothy
4:7
I have
fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have
kept the faith:
NOTE:
This week we honor those who have served our country
in the military.
These men and
women have been willing to give up much of their lives
to serve our country.
Today our nation is at war, a far different war than we
have every fought against.
We honor those
who are placing their lives in jeopardy for our nation.
We, who claim
the Name of Christ, are also at war, but the nature of
our warfare is far different from the physical wars of
this world.
2
Corinthians 10:4 (NIV) The weapons we fight with
are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they
have divine power to demolish strongholds.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
NOTE:
As the soldier of our country must be willing to make
sacrifices so must we as Soldiers for Christ be willing
to do the same.
2
Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a
good soldier of Jesus Christ.
I.
THERE IS A COST IN BEING A SOLDIER.
Romans
12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service.
NOTE:
As our soldiers pay a tremendous cost in serving our
country, so we as Soldiers of Christ must be willing to
pay the cost of serving God.
As there are those in our country who want freedom
without having to pay the cost, there are those who call
themselves Christian who want God’s blessing but are
unwilling to pay the cost.
Matthew 10:37-38 (NLT) If you love your father or
mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of
being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more
than me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you refuse
to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy
of being mine.
Luke
9:23 (NLT) Then he said to the crowd, "If any of
you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your
selfish ambition, shoulder your cross daily, and follow
me.
A Soldier of Christ must be willing to give up their
dreams and ambitions in order to follow the commands of
Christ.
NOTE:
Many of the signer of the Declaration of
Independence suffered great losses.
As soldiers take on new responsibilities and commitments
when they enlist, so do we when we accept Christ as out
Savior.
2
Timothy 2:4 (NLT) And as Christ's soldier, do not
let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life,
for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you
in his army.
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
NOTE:
There is little hope for negotiation with terrorist;
there is no hope of negotiation with Satan and sin.
II. A
SOLDIER MUST HAVE COURAGE.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage,
fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God,
he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee,
nor forsake thee.
Joshua
10:25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be
dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall
the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
1
Chronicles 19:13 Be of good courage, and let us
behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the
cities of our God: and let the Lord do that which is
good in his sight.
2
Chronicles 32:7 Be strong and courageous, be not
afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyri, nor for all
the multitude that is with him: for there be more with
us than with him:
Philippians 1:28 (NLT) Don't be intimidated by
your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are
going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be
saved, even by God himself.
III. A
SOLDIER MUST OBEY COMMANDS.
NOTE:
Mine is not to reason why, mine is just to do or
die.
Joshua
23:6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and
to do all that is written in the book of the law of
Moses, that ye turn not aside there from to the right
hand or to the left;
1
Chronicles 22:13 Then shalt thou prosper, if thou
takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which
the Lord charged Moses with concerning Israel: be
strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but
he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
NOTE:
A good soldier will obey without having to
understand.
IV.
THE BLESSINGS OF BEING A SOLDIER FOR CHRIST.
NOTE:
The pay we receive for being a Soldier for Christ
may not seem to be much, but the retirement plan is out
of this world.
The blessings we receive from being a Soldier for Christ
far outweighs the blessings of this world.
- The freedom from
sin.
1 John
1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the
light, we have fellowship one with another, and the
blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John
1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
- The guilt of sin
- The punishment
for sin
- Peace
Psalm
29:11 The Lord will give strength unto his
people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Psalm
119:165 (KJV) Great peace have they which love
thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
Isaiah
26:3 (KJV) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in
thee.
John
14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I
give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid.
John
16:33 (KJV) These things I have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall
have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome
the world.
Philip. 4:7 (KJV) And the peace of God, which
passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
- Peace of God
- Peace with God
2
Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a
crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only,
but unto all them also that love his appearing.
John
14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if
it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that
where I am, there ye may be also.

“KNOWING THE MIND OF
CHRIST”
SCRIPTURE
READING: I CORINTHIANS 2:6-16
SCRIPTURE
TEXT: I Corinthians 2:16
How could they? For, "Who can know what the Lord is
thinking? Who can give him counsel?" But we
can understand these things, for we have the mind of
Christ.
INTRO:
We are facing dark and troubling times.
Our nation is sinking deeper and deeper to apostasy, the
renunciation of our Christian faith.
There are many who claim the Christian faith but their
life style denies their claim.
There are many who worship God on Sunday, but worship
the gods of this world Monday through Saturday.
There is a remnant of True Worshipers. What makes
the difference?
It’s our thought pattern.
How we think about ourselves, about others, about things
and most of important, about God.
I.
THERE IS SPIRITUAL WARFARE OVER OUR MINDS.
NOTE:
Satan seeks to control our minds and keep them away
from the things of God.
Every time you come to church, read your Bible, think
about heavenly things, Satan seeks to cloud you mind
with doubt and unbelief. He seeks to distract you
with things of this world.
That’s how he deceived Eve.
Romans
7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring
against the law of my mind, and bringing me into
captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
The thought patterns of this world are against the
though patterns of God.
Romans
8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against
God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither
indeed can be.
The thought
patterns of this world seek to satisfy the desires of
the flesh and fail to consider that needs of the spirit.
Romans 8:5 For
they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the
flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of
the Spirit.
II. HAVING THE MIND OF
CHRIST.
1
Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of
the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind
of Christ.
The True Worshiper walks and lives in and through the
Mind of Christ.
1
Corinthians 2:10-12 (NLT) But we know these
things because God has revealed them to us by his
Spirit, and his Spirit searches out everything and shows
us even God's deep secrets. No one can know what
anyone else is really thinking except that person alone,
and no one can know God's thoughts except God's own
Spirit. And God has actually given us his Spirit
(not the world's spirit) so we can know the wonderful
things God has freely given us.
What does it mean to have the Mind of Christ?
NOTE:
There must be a change in the way we think and look
at things.
2
Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and
every high thing that exalteth itself against the
knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every
thought to the obedience of Christ;
Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify
in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other
Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Romans
12:1-2 (NLT) And so, dear brothers and sisters, I
plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a
living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will accept. When
you think of what he has done for you, is this too much
to ask? Don't copy the behavior and customs of
this world, but let God transform you into a new person
by changing the way you think. Then you will know what
God wants you to do, and you will know how good and
pleasing and perfect his will really is.
III.
WHAT IS THE MIND OF CHRIST?
NOTE:
I wish to share just three aspects of the Mind of
Christ.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which
was also in Christ Jesus:
A. THE MIND OF A SERVANT HOOD
NOTE:
Jesus did not come to be served but rather to serve.
Philippians 2:6-7 Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made
himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of
a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to
be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his
life a ransom for many.
John
13:4-5 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his
garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After
that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash
the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel
wherewith he was girded.
John
13:12-17 So after he had washed their feet, and
had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said
unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye
call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet;
ye also ought to wash one another's feet. [15] For I
have given you an example, that ye should do as I have
done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The
servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is
sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know
these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
NOTE:
The world’s mind set is what’s in for me; the
Christian mind set must be how can I minister to needs
of others?
B. HUMILITY
NOTE:
What allows us to have a servant mindset is
humility.
Pride will rob us of a servant’s mindset.
Philippians 2:3-7 Let nothing be done through
strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each
esteem other better than themselves. Look not
every man on his own things, but every man also on the
things of others. Let this mind be in you, which
was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form
of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but
made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the
form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
NOTE:
The God of the universe became like His creation.
Matthew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself
shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall
be exalted.
Romans
12:3 For I say, through the grace given
unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of
himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think
soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the
measure of faith.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of
the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
C.
UNITY
NOTE:
The end product of a servant’s mindset and humility
will be unity.
Jesus desires unity within the church.
John
17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art
in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:
that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
John
13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my
disciples, if ye have love one to another.
NOTE:
It is our love for one another shown through unity
that will cause the world to see Christ in us.
1
Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the
same thing, and that there be no divisions among you;
but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same
mind and in the same judgment.
Philippians 2:2 Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be
likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord,
of one mind.
CONCLUSION: Let us have the mind of Christ, servant
hood, humility and unity.

“SEVEN REASONS TO BE
THANKFUL IN TIMES OF DIFFICULTY”
SCRIPTURE
READING: PSALM 92:1-15
SCRIPTURE
TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will
of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
INTRO:
The Bible tells us that we are to rejoice evermore.
One of the signs of true Christianity is the joy that
Christians have.
For most of us we find it easy to be joyful and
thankful when things are going well, but the proof of
the pudding is when things are difficult.
Christianity is not freedom from times of difficulty but
rather the strength and faith to be victorious in spite
of difficulties.
The Psalmist in Psalm 92 speaks of being thankful during
the good times and being thankful during the times of
testing and trials.
The secret of being thankful in times of trouble and
stress is our FAITH.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible
to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe
that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.
It is our belief about God that will determine whether
we are thankful during times of difficulty.
I.
SEVEN REASONS TO BE THANKFUL.
1
Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning
you.
NOTE:
It says IN EVERYTHING not FOR EVERYTHING.
When something bad happens we do not have to be thankful
for what has happen but we can be thankful in spite of
what has happened.
- For God’s love.
NOTE:
Knowing that God loves us in spite of what may be
happing around us and in spite of what we may have done
should cause us to be thankful in all things.
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto
me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting
love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
John
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans
5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in
that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ephesians 2:4-5
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love
wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in
sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace
ye are saved;)
1 John
3:1-2 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of
God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew
him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and
it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know
that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we
shall see him as he is.
- For God’s wisdom.
NOTE:
We can be thankful that God’s wisdom is far
greater and more beneficial to us then our own.
Isaiah
55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as
the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways
higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your
thoughts.
We see things and understand things through human
limitations.
Romans
8:28 And we know that all things work together
for good to them that love God, to them who are the
called according to his purpose.
- God’s power.
NOTE:
We can be thankful that God’s power is greater than
any other power in heaven or earth.
Job
42:2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and
that no thought can be withholden from thee.
Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast
made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and
stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for
thee:
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said
unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all
things are possible.
Luke
1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
NOTE:
No matter what we are facing, God is able to deliver
us from the situation or give us victory over it.
Romans
8:37-39 Nay, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him that loved us. For I am
persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor
things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of
God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- For God’s
promises.
NOTE:
We can be thankful that no matter how impossible the
situation might seem we can depend upon God’s promises.
Romans
4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had
promised, he was able also to perform.
Hebrews 6:18 (NLT) So God has given us both his
promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable
because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we
who have fled to him for refuge can take new courage,
for we can hold on to his promise with confidence.
Romans
3:4 (NLT) Of course not! Though everyone else in
the world is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say,
"He will be proved right in what he says, and he will
win his case in court."
- For God’s
provisions.
NOTE:
We can be thankful that God will give us what we
need when we need it.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
NOTE:
It says all our needs not all our wants.
We must allow God to determine the difference between
our needs and our wants.
- For God’s
presence.
NOTE:
Of all the things to be thankful for, this is high
on my list.
ILL:
Cherokee Right of
Passage
Do
you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian
youth's rite of passage?
His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and
leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the
whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays
of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out
for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a
MAN. He cannot tell the other boys of this experience,
because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The
boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of
noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him.
Maybe even some human might do him harm. The wind blew
the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat
stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the
only way he could become a man.! Finally, after a
horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his
blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father
sitting on the stump next to him. He had been at
watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.
We, too, are never alone. Even when we don't know it,
our Heavenly Father is watching over us, sitting on the
stump beside us. When trouble comes, all we have to do
is reach out to Him.
Deuteronomy 20:1 When thou goest out to battle
against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots,
and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for
the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out
of the land of Egypt.
Isaiah
43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will
be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not
overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou
shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon
thee.
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto
the end of the world. Amen.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without
covetousness; and be content with such things as ye
have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor
forsake thee.
- For God’s grace.
NOTE:
For all these things in which we can be thankful
for, we deserve none of them, we receive them only
through God’s grace.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of
God: not of works, lest any man should boast.
CONCLUSION: How can we show our thankfulness to God?
- Through Worship.
- Through sharing what
God has done for us with others.
- Through our gifts of
time, talent & treasure to God.
NOVEMBER 29
“BUILDING ON A SOLID
FOUNDATION”
SCRIPTURE READING:
MATTHEW 7:24-27
SCRIPTURE TEXT: Psalm
18:2
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my
deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my
buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high
tower.
INTRO:
Where ever we look we can see that we are getting
closer and closer to the coming of the Lord.
Jesus warns us that the world would be in turmoil and
that many hearts will fail because of what will be
taking place.
Matthew 24:4-8 And Jesus answered and said unto
them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many
shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall
deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and
rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all
these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and
pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All
these are the beginning of sorrows.
As we see these days fast approaching let us not allow
fear to overwhelm us.
As the coming of the Lord gets closer these things will
increase but we need not fear.
Let us remember that God has everything under control
and we as His children have no reason to fear.
Luke
21:28 And when these things begin to come to
pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your
redemption draweth nigh.
We should not be surprise at what is happen around us.
1
Thessalonians 5:1-5 But of the times and the
seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto
you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of
the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For
when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden
destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman
with child; and they shall not escape. But ye,
brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should
overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of
light, and the children of the day: we are not of the
night, nor of darkness.
We must prepare ourselves so that when Jesus returns we
will be ready.
I.
JESUS WILL RETURN.
A.
THERE ARE TWO THINGS WE MUST NOT DO IN REGARDS
TO CHRIST’S RETURN.
Mark
13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no
man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the
Son, but the Father.
ILL:
The book: Eighty-eight reasons why Jesus
will return in 1988.
ILL:
The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
NOTE:
By failing to prepare ourselves we are showing that
we really don’t believe that it is going to happen.
2
Peter 3:3-4 Knowing this first, that there shall
come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own
lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming?
for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue
as they were from the beginning of the creation.
B. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN CHRIST RETURNS?
1
Thessalonians 4:15-18 (NLT) I can tell you this
directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the
Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those
who are in their graves. For the Lord himself will
come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the
call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God.
First, all the Christians who have died will rise from
their graves. Then, together with them, we who are
still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in
the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with
him forever. So comfort and encourage each other
with these words.
NOTE:
There is no reason for the Believer to fear the
Second coming of Jesus.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath
part in the first resurrection: on such the second death
hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of
Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white
throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the
earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no
place for them. And I saw the dead, small and
great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and
another book was opened, which is the book of life: and
the dead were judged out of those things which were
written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death
and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and
they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This
is the second death. And whosoever was not found written
in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
NOTE:
All the Believers were resurrected in the First
Resurrection therefore only non-believer are raised in
the second Resurrection.
II.
HOW DO WE PREPARE FOR HIS COMING?
NOTE:
For the true Believer the return of Christ will not
catch them unaware.
Luke 19:13 And
he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten
pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
NOTE:
The one thing we don’t do is sit wringing our hands
bemoaning what is happen around us.
God expects us to be busy using whatever He has given us
in time and opportunity, to reach the lost.
Mark
13:32-37 (NIV) "No one knows about that day or
hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but
only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not
know when that time will come. It's like a man
going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in
charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one
at the door to keep watch. "Therefore keep watch because
you do not know when the owner of the house will come
back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or
when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes
suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say
to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' "
The closer the coming of Christ is, the more adversity
we will face.
We must be built on solid foundation in order to be able
to stand.
- Our faith must be
built upon the solid rock.
NOTE:
The secret of building on the solid rock is
two-fold:
Matthew 7:24-25 Therefore whosoever heareth these
sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a
wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the
rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was
founded upon a rock.
1. We must listen to the Word of God.
2. We must do what the Word of God tells.
We must take the Word of God to those who are not
listening.
Romans
10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom
they have not believed? and how shall they believe in
him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear
without a preacher?
- We must make God
our fortress and deliverer.
NOTE:
We cannot put our trust in our own strength or the
strength of this world to keep us during the storms that
are coming.
Psalm
56:11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be
afraid what man can do unto me.
Psalm
61:3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a
strong tower from the enemy.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong
tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
NOTE:
The closer we come to the Second Coming the worst it
will be, but those who trust in God will have peace in
the midst of the storm.
Psalm
5:11 But let all those that put their trust in
thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou
defendest them: let them also that love thy name be
joyful in thee.
Psalm
31:19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou
hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast
wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of
men!
Isaiah
26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose
mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
